Project: 8" (Mego) The Doctor IX

This weekend I decided to try my hand at the 8” Mego scale. I think this could quickly become my favorite!

Cat suit from 12" Snake Eyes

The recipe is fairly straightforward. I sculpted the Doctor’s face from Super Sculpey and repainted it. The jacket came from a Charlie’s Angels figure. Due to the scale difference, it had to be trimmed down to size. I also removed the buttons (as it was a woman’s coat and buttoned right over left instead of left over right.)

The jumper was the top of a cat suit from a 12” Snake Eyes figure. It too had to be cut down to size. The pants are the original Mego pants. I removed the stitching from the cuffs and unrolled then for full-length slacks. I then stitched the legs so they were straight rather than flared.

Overall, I love this figure. I plan to do more from the new series in this scale.
